Job Description:
Background: Position will be attached to an Internet retail account to deliver data analysis and related support services.
Essential Responsibilities:
Collect, evaluate, analyze & interpret data for decision-making.
Develop data and business models and build Decision Support Systems for improving the lifetime values of a customer, increase average order size and conversion rates.
Analyze data, design marketing programs and collaborate with the marketing team to implement, evaluate and improve marketing performance.
Duties in Detail:
Develop reports and models that clearly state implications and potential courses of action for business strategy
Responsible for special projects that provide analytical support for larger company projects
Analyze, streamline, and standardize the reporting process and continuously improve the system
Produce user-friendly reporting system with project dashboards and reports
Analyze all data and reports for accuracy and relevancy and help meet management information needs of internal clients according to established standards
Assist management and perform all necessary functions to meet strategic standards and objectives
Analyze customer requests for changes/new requirements to the production system, determine the impact on existing systems processes and develop appropriate specifications, enhancements, and/or procedures to comply.
Assist senior team members with current issues.
Candidate Profile:
Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years [Candidates with lesser experience can be considered for Executive – Analytics position]
Career Level: Experienced (non-manager)
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Direct Report: Director of Operations with dotted line reporting to Client Manager
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or Engineering; MBA an advantage
Felicity with numbers & business statistics; ability to handle complex and high volume of data
Ability to complete strategic data analysis and interpret data
High level of understanding of the internet. Prior experience with internet retail an advantage
Advanced experience with MS Excel, MS Access and preferably with SQL database. Experience using popular statistical analysis tools preferred
Solid presentation, communication, and organizational skills
Experience in supporting users and be able to handle a constant flow of requests and respond quickly to changing business environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly
Strong attention to detail
Take initiative to research and resolve issues
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Manage own work and seeks help when needed
Take responsibility for decisions and actions
Willing to work extended hours when needed
